She was beautiful before we even started of course. But she really glowed after Milla Makeup worked their magic and we worked together in pretty light to create these images

I am in the very fortunate position of having many wonderful friends who are also talented photographers. Even better, they are **people** photographers, so they specialise in bringing out the very best in their subjects, which is totally different to being a landscape or an architectural photographer.
So, I could call on them any time to create beautiful photographs of ME. But do I?
Let’s put it this way, I would rather go to the dentist than book in to have professional photographs done.
isn’t that a CRAZY and unexpected thing for a professional portrait photographer to say?!?
But it’s true.
I am a woman riddled with insecurities. I have struggled with my skin and my weight all my life. Both of these “issues” make me prefer the thought of curling up with a book under the covers than ever taking the giant leap of faith to have someone photograph me professionally.
Yet, here I am, head over heels in love with the business of taking OTHER PEOPLE’S photographs.
There is one fundamental thing I ask from the people brave enough to trust me and book in for a shoot — TRUST!
It really is as simple as that.
Trust that i will be kind and gentle. Trust that I am brilliant at what I do – which is to find your beauty, your inner goddess, your “true beautiful” \hidden down under the layers of insecurities we all build over time.
Trust that I am a woman who knows how it feels not to be perfect. Who has issues. Who will not judge you or make you feel awkward.
Trust that you will end up feeling EMPOWERED by the experience of being photographed by me. That you will never regret the leap of faith you took by booking in.
Trust that you will be BLOWN AWAY BY YOUR BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS!
I am so glad I trusted my best girlfriend to take the above photograph of me 2 years ago. I treasure the images she took and I know in years to come my kids will too.
Photographs really are one of the most precious souvenirs of a life well lived.
